In April 2015 five representatives from Marriotts School will be flying to the Gambia to undertake a build project that was started this year along with Stevenage FC. The school representatives will be visiting and camping in a local village and continuing with small building projects starting this year along with building a football stadium for the local community.

We are pleased to announce that Marriotts School will be leading this project in 2016  and will be taking students out to the Gambia to continue with the great work already started. This is going to be a great opportunity for sixth formers to travel and experience life in a west African country.

The forthcoming trip to Gambia will be used to find communities and projects to work with on the 2016 trip. We will be working alongside Football Gambia and will be partnering up with local schools in the Gambia and fundraising to help the local communities. This will something that the school will look to do every year and will have a great impact on our students learning.

Feel free to have a look at the video below at this years trip. Mr Drackford from the Sports Centre was the Marriotts Schools representative this year who you will see in the video.
