Welcome to the Governors’ section of our website where you can find out about our school’s governors and the work of the Governing Body.
The Governing Body has a legal responsibility for the overall management of the school and governors are actively involved in school life in many ways . Governors set the school’s vision and strategic aims, monitor and evaluate performance and ensure the school is accountable to those it serves.
Message from the Chair of Governors
As ever 2018/19 looks to be another very busy year for governors. The role of the twelve members of the governing body is to be a critical friend to the school, to hold the Headteacher to account and to ensure that all our students achieve as much as they possibly can. The governing body is made up of parents, school staff and members of the local community, the one thing which we all have is a strong belief that our students deserve the very best education. We meet at least once every half term looking at how the school continuously improves. We also spend a day each month in the school talking to students and staff to find out for ourselves what is working well and what could be even better. Each visit made gives us the opportunity to see for ourselves how motivated and inspired our students are. We are truly proud of our school. We wish all our students a successful year to come.
