Vienna shaves head for MacMillan Cancer Support
Vienna Aplin, Year 7 student shaved her head on her 12th birthday to raise funds for Macmillan. She ttok on the challenge after her mum’s close friend, Maria Stewart, died from cancer aged 46 in 2007.
She said “I know people who have lost family members to cancer, I especially wanted to do this in memory of our family friend who sadly died”.
Vienna has already raised £732 for the charity and donated her hair to the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity which will use it to make wigs for children who lose their hair through cancer treatment.
