What is it to be a Linguist at Marriotts?
Learning a modern foreign language opens up your life to new cultures and can be very empowering and confidence building.We aim to prepare students to become global citizens and to develop proficiency in their linguistic ability and cultural awareness, not only in readiness for careers in the international marketplace but also by inspiring a lifelong love of languages. This is achieved through developing independent language learning skills and the retention of essential knowledge, with the emphasis on linguistic manipulation, grammar and authentic materials.

Subject Team
The MFL department consists of four highly skilled and motivated members of staff who are fully committed in ensuring every student achieves their personal best in languages and is able to enjoy the diverse topics studied.
